Conejo Players hold auditionfor 'Alice in Wonderland Jr.'

The Conejo Players will hold auditions for "Alice in Wonderland Jr." at 5:30 p.m. Sun. through Tues., July 6 through 8 at the theater, 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Performance dates are Oct. 4 through 12, Saturday and Sunday at 1 and 4 p.m., as well as Fri., Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. and two daytime performances for schools on Oct. 8. No conflicts are allowed during tech week or performance dates.

The show follows Alice's adventures in Wonderland and her encounters with characters such as the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Caterpillar and the Queen of Hearts.

The script features updated dialogue and new arrangements of classic Disney songs such as "I'm Late," "The Unbirthday Song" and "ZipADeeDooDah."

To audition, prepare a oneminute song in the proper key. A prerecorded CD track to sing to is acceptable as long as the track is instrumental only. Be prepared to read from the script and learn a short dance combo. Wear shoes and clothing appropriate for dancing.

No appointment is necessary. There is no pay.
