Janss Marketplace hosts firework viewing fun
The Janss Marketplace Fireworks Spectacular will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Fri., July 4 at the shopping center at Moorpark Road and Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks.
Food for sale includes boxed dinners, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob and beverages.
Free activities include balloon twister, face painting and bounce house.
Free live music will be presented from 5:30 to 8:45 p.m. No Duh, a No Doubt tribute band, will perform on the rooftop viewing area. Copycats, a Top 40 band, will play near the fountain.
Fireworks will begin at approximately 9 p.m.
Access to the rooftop fireworks viewing area is limited to the first 2,500 guests. Wristbands allowing access will be issued beginning at 4 p.m.
The fireworks may also be viewed for free from The Oaks mall on Hillcrest Road. There will be no RV access at either The Oaks or Janss Marketplace this year. Parking is first come, first served.
KCLU 88.3 will air a patriotic simulcast with the fireworks show at 9 p.m.
