Exhibitionist still at large
Artist drawings of perpetrator The Thousand Oaks Police Department is asking the public to help identify a male who's been exposing himself since September 2006. The latest incident occurred on Thurs., June 26 near the intersection of Pederson Road and Northwood Parkway.
The man, in his late teens or early 20s (5-8 to 6-0, 130-150), is slender with black or dark brown hair. He may have had a recent haircut, and he often wears a cap or hat. On one occasion, he wore a fishermanstyle "Gilligan" hat. He also has worn hooded sweatshirts.
The man exposes himself or commits lewd acts in front of female joggers. He usually hides in trees or bushes along Pederson Road before indecently exposing himself, and has been seen in the following areas: Northwood Parkway, Cypress Place, Calle Estepa and on an access road to open space.
Authorities believe the suspect may live in the vicinity of Northwood Parkway or in a neighborhood around or near Pederson Road.
Anyone who provides information about a possible suspect can remain anonymous. Up to $1,000 will be rewarded to the person who provides information that leads to an arrest and charges against the perpetrator. Please call Crime Stoppers at (805) 494-8255 if you can help.
