Elmer Johnson,

Westlake Village resident Elmer Johnson passed away June 5, 2008, shortly after being diagnosed with leukemia. He was 87.

Mr. Johnson was born November 22, 1920 in Horton, Iowa. He was the youngest school superintendent in the state of Iowa. In 1946, he married his beloved Gertrude ("Trudy") Kitchen with whom he shared 62 wonderful years. He served as an elementary school principal for over 36 years in the Los Altos Elementary School District.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Westlake Village and is survived by his wife Trudy, son Doug, daughter Judy, and four grandchildren, Erik, Kirsten, Brett and Ryan.
