High school seniors had the spirit of volunteerism

Westminster Free Clinic (WFC) in the Conejo Valley would like to thank the following seniors for their volunteer service to low-income, uninsured people in East Ventura County for the past two or more years as part of our medical team.

They have volunteered a minimum of 300 hours, with some providing more than 1,000 hours of service. The students volunteering the most hours from this graduating class were Juan Santos and George Guerrero from Westlake High School.

Two WFC graduating seniors were accepted into eight-year medical school programs right out of high school. WFC would like to congratulate Kelsey Krigstein of Agoura High and Young Kim of Thousand Oaks High for this extremely difficult accomplishment. They both will be attending USC in the fall.

We are also proud of Sidney Primas of Westlake High, who's going to Duke University, and Kelsey Krigstein of Agoura High, who's going to USC, for receiving four-year scholarships with all expenses paid (a value of more than $200,000) for each of them.

WFC's 31 high school graduates are all attending great colleges and universities in the fall.

The board, staff and volunteers of WFC wish them well in all they choose to pursue. They believe their longterm commitment to the clinic and its patients is just the beginning of the great things these students will do for their communities as adults.

This year's graduates are from the following high schools: Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake, Oak Park, Agoura, Calabasas, La Reina, Camarillo, New Jewish Community, Millken,Viewpoint and El Rio.

They are: Jacob Adler, Talish Aghababayan, Michael Belko, Dylan Burstein, Caitlyn Byrne, Allie Chavez, Ashley Chen, Ruth Contreras, Jonathan Dryjanski, Sylvia Garcia, Andrea Gero, Nicolette Gonzalez, George Guerrero, Arshad Haider, Jasmine Hayes, Natalie Kamajian, Young Kim, Lauren Klein, Kelsey Krigstein, Sandra Lopez, Annelise Mah, Daniel Mandel, Elite Mekel, Genesis Mendez, Maribel Montano, Sidney Primas, Jessica Pruett, Chris Ramos, Lizbeth Ruelas, Juan Santos and Samantha Weiner.
