Patricia Jones wins leadership award

Patricia Jones, president and executive director for Alliance for the Arts, was the recipient of the Not-For-Profit Leadership Award at the seventh annual Women in Business Awards and Reception sponsored by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal.

Jones' nomination was submitted by Star Marketing and Media Inc.

Nominees comprised business owners and leaders in a variety of business categories. Leaders were nominated from Los Angeles to Antelope Valley, Santa Clarity Valley and Ventura County.

Jones was recognized for her leadership and success in raising more than $20 million for the Civic Arts Plaza in Thousand Oaks. She is credited with building the Alliance for the Arts organization from the ground up.
