Sheriff's Blotter Newbury Park A male, 52, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 9:40 p.m. while driving eastbound on Borchard Road near Wendy Drive. On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, a female, 43, and a male, 46, were arrested around 8:30 p.m. June 4 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A burglar stole and damaged property on June 9 or 10 in the 2500 block of White Stallion Road. The total damage estimate was $26,400. For an allegation of battery causing personal injury, a female, 20, was cited at 5:35 a.m. June 8 in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla. A vandal damaged a house under construction on June 9 or 10 in the 700 block of Rancho Dos Vientos A commercial burglary occurred between June 6 and 9 in the 1300 block of Lawrence Drive. Graffiti vandalism was discovered near a sewer bridge just southwest of the southbound Borchard Road exit at the 101 Freeway on June 7. Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Between June 1 and 8 in the 2600 block of Lavery Court; and on June 11 or 12 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A fire hydrant was stolen between June 5 and 9 in the 100 block of Academy Drive. A female, 45, reportedly drove the wrong way in a construction zone on Hillcrest Drive, west of Lawrence Drive, and was cited at 6:30 p.m. June 7. Thousand Oaks On suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, the following subjects were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 23, at 3:35 a.m. May 28 at Hillcrest Drive and Glenwood Place (subject allegedly was involved in a singlecar traffic collision and fled the scene and was later detained trying to leave the area in a taxi); and a male, 23, at 1:40 a.m. June 8 in the 300 block of Rolling Oaks Drive. A male, 30, allegedly was driving with an open container of alcohol- and on a suspended license for a previous DUI- at 1 p.m. June 9 in the 100 block of Avenida de Los Arboles. A male, 47, was arrested at East Valley Station in connection with a hit-and-run vehicle collision that caused an injury at 1:26 p.m. June 9. The accident occurred at 2:36 a.m. June 7 at Wilbur Road and St. Charles Drive. The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances: A male, 42, at 3:20 p.m. June 6 in the 1400 block of Kirk Street; a female, 47, at 2:45 p.m. June 6 in the 1400 block of Kirk Street; a female, 24, at 3:10 p.m. June 6 in the 1400 block of Kirk Street; a female, 35, at 3:20 p.m. June 6 in the 1400 block of Kirk Street; a male, 37, at 2:15 p.m. June 10 at the East Valley Sheriff's Station; a female, 31, at 11:45 a.m. June 11 in the 500 block of Juniper Court; and a male, 27, at 1 p.m. June 4 in the 2600 block of Calle Limonero. A male, 29, was cited for engaging in a speed contest with another vehicle on a public street at 10:30 p.m. June 9 at Moorpark Road and Avenida de Las Flores. The street race occurred on northbound Moorpark Road at Janss Road. A male, 29, allegedly battered a woman and damaged her cellphone, preventing her from calling police, at 9:26 p.m. June 10 in the 1700 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. The subject reportedly fled from several police officers in patrol cars before he was apprehended in the 1700 block of Los Feliz Drive at 9:50 p.m. the same night. A female, 21, was arrested on a battery charge at 5:35 a.m. June 8 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. For allegedly battering a person, a male, 46, was arrested at 7:20 a.m. June 10 in the 100 block of Sandberg Street. A male, 42, was arrested on a charge of battery at 2:40 p.m. June 7 in the 1200 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles. A male, 23, allegedly broke a vehicle window and stole a purse at 10:23 p.m. June 6 in the 2200 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. For allegedly stealing wood, two male woodcutters, ages 43 and 40, were cited June 8 in the 300 block of Hodencamp Road. The crime occurred at 4:23 p.m. the same day. A male, 19, was arrested on charges of identity theft, fraudulent use of another person's access card and commercial burglary on June 11 at the East Valley Sheriff's Station for a crime committed Feb. 16. A male, 33, allegedly committed a petty theft at 3:50 p.m. June 5 in the 3600 block of Lang Ranch Parkway. He was arrested on June 10. A vandal damaged a roof at Aspen Elementary School on June 1 or 2. An optometry office in the 200 block of Hampshire Road was burglarized and had $1,000 in damages after a break-in around 3:30 a.m. June 9. A shoplifter stole merchandise from a store in the 400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive between 8:40 and 9 p.m. June 5. Welding equipment was stolen from a construction site at The Oaks mall between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. June 4. Graffiti damaged a sign at the Wellness Community, 530 Hampshire Drive, on June 9 or 10. A door was permanently damaged when someone attempted a break-in on June 8 or 9 in the 500 block of Marin Street. In the same building, another door was damaged between June 7 and 9. On a charge of soliciting without a license, a male, 19, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. June 10 on Via Las Brisas, west of Via Gregorio. More than $400 in property was stolen between May 5 and June 4 in the 1000 block of Chatham Court. Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On June 7 or 8 in the 3000 block of E. Cumberland Court (unlocked); between 5 and 5:20 p.m. June 7 in the 2000 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles (a computer case was stolen from unsecured vehicle); between June 5 and 8 in the 2800 block of Amber Wood Place; and on June 11 or 12 in the 1600 block of Alderwood Place (perpetrator stole property from two unlocked vehicles). A vandal threw an unknown object from a moving vehicle at another moving vehicle, causing more than $400 in damages, around 6:30 a.m. June 10 at Avenida de Las Flores and Moorpark Road. A vehicle had about $300 in damages on June 8 or 9 in the 2200 block of Aspenpark Court. A thief stole $29 in gas from the tank of a vehicle between June 7 and 9 in the 900 block of Glenwich Drive. On suspicion of drinking in public, the following subjects were cited: A male, 61, at 1:50 p.m. June 7 in the 700 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard; and a male, 38, at 3:40 p.m. June 8 in the first block of N. Moorpark Road. A male, 54, was arrested and charged with being drunk in public at 2:38 p.m. June 9 in the 700 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. Westlake/T.O. A burglar broke into a locked vehicle and stole golf clubs and a cart on June 8 or 9 in the 5700 block of Stone Mountain Road.
