Ascension Lutheran Church will sponsor a Vacation Bible School for all children age 3 to sixth grade from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day, Mon. through Fri., July 14 to 18 at the church, 1600 E. Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks. The community is welcome.

The theme is "Rainforest Adventure." Children will hear stories about Jesus, make crafts, learn rainforest tunes, play games and do skits. Each day will offer a new Bible story and activities.

Costs for the week range from $30 to $50.
