WHS alumna is top senior at Wagner College

Westlake High School class of 2005 alumna Christina Lamb has received the Donald W. Spiro Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.

The award is presented by Wagner College, Staten Island, N.Y., to its top graduating senior.

Lamb was presented with the award at Wagner's commencement ceremonies in May. She also received the Kevin Sheehy Award in Biology for her research on teratogenic effects of lithium chloride upon zebra fish embryos.

Lamb has completed her studies at Wagner, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Biology, summa cum laude.

She will enter the PhD program in biomedical science at the University of North Carolina Medical School in Chapel Hill in the fall.
