Meeting to address new anti-smoking law

At 6 p.m. next Tues., June 24, the City Council will consider the adoption of a new ordinance prohibiting smoking in restaurant dining areas and many outdoor public areas.

The meeting will take place in council chambers/Scherr Forum Theater at city hall, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd.

In preparation for the hearing, an informational meeting for restaurant owners and the public is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. today, Thurs., June 19, in the Civic Arts Plaza Acorn Room.
