National Youth Leadership Mission is accepting applicants
High school students who will be starting their junior year this fall are invited to apply to participate in the Anti-Defamation League's Grosfeld Family National Youth Leadership Mission to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., from Nov. 16 through 19.
The mission is offered at no cost to participants and includes airfare, hotel, meals, tours and programs.
The program brings a diverse group of 100 student delegates to the nation's capital to learn about the Holocaust and ways to fight prejudice in schools and communities.
Participants are selected based on diversity, leadership potential and ability to discuss issues of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and socioeconomic status.
Students will be required to participate in the league's ongoing Dream Dialogue program of six meetings. Students are also expected to bring the lessons they learned from the mission back to their communities.
The application deadline is Tues., July 1.
