Run to help camp
      The Salvation Army will host 5K and 10K trail runs beginning at 8 a.m. Sat., June 7 at the organization's campsite in the Santa Monica Mountains. A nature walk for children and a family fair will follow. Proceeds from the event go toward the Salvation Army's two summer wilderness camps, Mount Crags and Camp Gilmore, for inner-city teens and children.

Lupus support group comes to Westlake
      The Conejo Valley Lupus Support Group will meet for Friends and Family Night at 6:30 p.m. Sun., June 8 at One Baxter Way, Westlake Village. The meeting is open for those who have lupus and their families. Lupus is a term for a chronic autoimmune disease that affects the entire body.

Conejo Free Clinic to offer services in month of June
      The Conejo Free Clinic will present its first nutrition clinic open to the public and clients at 10 a.m. Thurs., June 26 at 80 E. Hillcrest Drive, Ste. 102, Thousand Oaks. Yelena Nisnevich will give a presentation on "Sodium: Are you getting too much?" The program includes healthy foods/recipes and educational materials will be provided.
