Students entering grades one through eight are eligible to apply for the 16th annual Pizazz summer musical arts camp from Aug. 11 through 15 at the United Methodist Church of Westlake Village, 1049 S. Westlake Blvd.

The camp is sponsored by the church's music ministry but uses a nonreligious arts curriculum.

Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday with a 7 p.m. performance that night for campers' families and friends.

The camp theme this year is "Nature's Harmony." Activities, which will revolve around the music in nature and the life and music of Aaron Copland, include singing, hand bell and choir chime ringing, choreographed movement and music enrichment.

Tuition is $125, which includes a $25 nonrefundable application fee. There's a $25 discount if application and full payment are received by June 1. The fee includes daily snacks and a T-shirt with camp logo.

Extended day care may be provided for an additional fee. Limited scholarship assistance is available.
