Safety, wellness day includes screenings

The city of Thousand Oaks will host a community safety and wellness day from noon to 2 p.m. Wed., June 11 in the park fronting the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza on Thousand Oaks Blvd.

The event will offer professional health screenings, an "ask the pharmacist" booth, therapeutic neck massages and more than 30 exhibitors. Health screenings will include blood pressure, blood glucose, body mass index and foot screenings.

A United Blood Services bloodmobile will be on site accepting donations.

The event is free and open to the public.
