'Charlotte's Web' coming to library
      The Newbury Park Branch Library will have a screening of "Charlotte's Web" at 2 p.m. Sat., June 7 at the library, 2331 Borchard Road, Newbury Park. The 2006 film stars Dakota Fanning as Fern and features the voices of Julia Roberts as Charlotte the spider, Dominic Scott Kay as Wilbur the pig and Steve Buscemi as Templeton the rat.

Trustee refuses to comply with settlement
      Controversy continues over a local school board trustee and the teachers union. Conejo Valley Unified School District and the Unified Association of Conejo Teachers (UACT) had signed a settlement agreement after UACT filed a lawsuit against the district more than two years ago because of one board member.
