Matt Nestlerode, a righthanded pitcher for the Oaks Christian baseball team, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for USC.

Nestlerode missed his entire senior season with the Lions after undergoing Tommy John surgery on his pitching arm in January.

Nestlerode's father, Chris, said the injury is healing well and that Matt should return to the mound by next season.
