Cuadrado, 7, dominates local track meet

Last Saturday at the Ventura County Youth Track Conference Varsity Finals at Moorpark High, Rowan Cuadrado, a 7-year-old on the Thousand Oaks Flyers Gremlin girls' team, won gold medals in all four track and field events she competed in- the long jump, 4x100 relay, 1,600-meter run and the 800.

She ran the 800 in 3:15, the mile in 6:59 and went 9 feet, 11 inches in the long jump. Cuadrado was the only athlete from both the boys' and girls' divisions to take home four gold medals.

Cuadrado's relay team also broke the county record for its age division (girls, ages 6-8) with a time of 1 minute, 6 seconds.
