Students earn doctorate degrees at Cal Lutheran

California Lutheran University conferred eight doctoral degrees at the graduate commencement ceremony on May 17.

The candidates received the Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership program in CLU's School of Education.

Local students are Barbara Semel Parkhurst of Oak Park, Conrad Ulpindo of Simi Valley, and Antonio Adan Castro and Michele Ann Stueck, both of Moorpark.

The doctoral program began in 2001. Students proceed as a group through their classes and dissertation preparation in the four-year program.
