Learn about yourself at seminar

Senior citizens will learn if they're more analytical or creative

The Senior and Family Resource Group of the Conejo is hosting a "Whole Mind Success" seminar from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Goebel Senior Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. The program is free.

The seminar leader is Bala Kanayson, creator of the "Whole Mind Success" program that's designed to help individuals become more creative.

"The techniques I teach are proven to help people unlock their minds and become more productive and innovative," said Kanayson. "For seniors, in particular, we show them how to exercise their brain and minimize stress, which can help delay the onset of cognitive impairment."

The program will cover how the brain ages and techniques that can help slow the process. Kanayson will provide memory jogging techniques and help participants discover if they're more "left brained" (analytical) or "right brained" (creative).
