A male, 24, allegedly used a box cutter to stab two people in a physical altercation at a hotel in the 2800 block of Camino Dos Rios at 7:02 p.m. May 1. The subject, who reportedly had blood on his clothing, was caught by police about a block away in the 2600 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 44, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance at 2:33 p.m. May 3 in the 100 block of Pepper Road.

A male, 22, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon at 9:38 p.m. May 5 in the 1700 block of Calle Diamonte.

A male, 38, was charged with resisting arrest for his outstanding warrants at 9:07 a.m. May 2 in the 2300 block of Borchard Road.

Someone attempted to unlawfully enter a home just after midnight May 4 in the first block of S. Jerome Avenue.

A catalytic converter was stolen between May 1 and 6 in the 900 block of Lawrence Drive.

A vandal threw a large rock through a passenger window, causing $400 in damages around 10:15 p.m. May 1 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Part of a vehicle was removed between May 2 and 6 in the 2300 block of Teller Road.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On April 30 or May 1 in the 600 block of Gerst Drive; on May 6 in the 200 block of Jenny Drive (window broken); and on May 5 or 6 in the 500 block of Los Vientos Drive (rear window damaged).

Thousand Oaks

A male, 26, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 2:30 a.m. May 2 driving southbound on the 101 Freeway near the 23 Freeway.

A male, 23, possessed a substance believed to be methamphetamine and was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance when he entered someone's home without permission on May 4 in the 2000 block of Calle Camelia.

A male, 22, attempted to enter an unlocked vehicle and steal property, allegedly while under the influence of a controlled substance at 3:33 p.m. May 5 in the 2600 block of Townsgate Road. The vehicle's owner chased the subject, detaining him until authorities arrived.

A male, 18, allegedly challenged several people to fight by taunting and cursing at them around 10:30 p.m. April 30 at Conejo Creek Park during Conejo Valley Days. It was reported that the subject was told by deputies on several occasions to leave the area, but he refused and continued to curse and incite his friends to join in the disturbance; when deputies approached the subject, he clenched his fists and began breathing heavily. The subject was arrested and released for fighting in public and obstructing a police officer.

A male, 49, yelled profanity near a children's ride at the Conejo Valley Days event around 5:30 p.m. near the 1300 block of Janss Road, but was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant a short time later.

A male, 30, was arrested on charges of inflicting injury on a spouse or cohabitant and knowingly violating a court order at 2:16 a.m. May 5 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue.

On charges of battering and causing injury to someone during a domestic argument, a male, 41, was arrested in Ventura's Main Jail May 2. The crime was committed in the 700 block of E. Avenida de Las Flores April 26.

A vandal spray painted satanic words and symbols on the ground and burned a Bible next to the graffiti around 8:15 p.m. May 7 in the 200 block of E. Wilbur Road.

Property valued at $19,300 was stolen between April 14 and May 2 in the 3300 block of Lang Ranch Parkway.

A male, 21, possessed brass knuckles after a caller reported a verbal dispute at 12:39 a.m. May 7 in the 1900 block of Los Feliz Drive.

For stealing money from his employer's cash register and possessing another person's credit card, a male, 21, was arrested and charged at 5:36 p.m. May 7 in the 2000 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

A male, 32, was arrested on burglary charges at N. Madera Road and Cochran Street in Simi Valley at 9:50 p.m. May 6 for a crime committed in the 100 block of N. Moorpark Road.

For possessing less than one ounce of marijuana and medicine without a prescription, a male, 20, was cited at 10:35 a.m. May 3 in the first block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 26, possessed less than one ounce of marijuana at 8:16 p.m. May 1 at Erbes Road and Falmouth Street.

For possessing marijuana while driving, a male, 27, was cited at 11:45 a.m. May 1 at Avenida de Los Arboles and Highway 23.

A thief stole $400 in property from a store in the 100 block of S. Westlake Boulevard around 2:20 p.m. May 7.

Someone stole items valued at $468 from four department stores in The Oaks mall in 590 W. Hillcrest Drive at 7:32 p.m. May 4.

A female, 22, allegedly shoplifted from several retail stores at 7:40 p.m. May 4 in the 500 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Property valued at more than $400 was stolen between May 2 and 5 in the 2900 block of Los Robles Road.

A thief stole valuables in excess of $400 from a hotel room between 2 and 4:30 p.m. May 3 in the 800 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.

An arsonist recently set fire to toilet paper and put it inside a trashcan in the restroom at Waverly Park. No property was damaged.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On May 3 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (unlocked); on May 4 or 5 at Burning Tree Drive and Amber Wood Place (vehicle TV and DVD player stolen from unlocked vehicle); on May 3 or 4 in the 1200 block of Calle Pimiento (unlocked); between 1 and 1:30 p.m. May 2 in the 1700 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard (unsecured); on May 2 in the 700 block of Calle Cardo (passenger-side window broken); on May 1 or 2 in the 1300 block of E. Calle Tulipan (window smashed); on May 1 in the 600 block of McCloud Avenue (burglars couldn't get inside the vehicle, but vandalized the outside of it); on May 1 or 2 in the 300 block of Rolling Oaks Drive (electronic equipment stolen from two vehicles); between 2:15 and 2:45 p.m. May 7 in the 400 block of Saddle Trail (window broken); and between 3:10 and 3:13 p.m. May 5 in the 2600 block of Townsgate Road (unlocked).

Equipment valued at $1,000 was stolen from a secured construction site between May 2 and 5 in the 100 block of Jensen Court.

Property was stolen around noon May 1 in the 1600 block of Bluebell Place.

A bicycle was stolen May 1 in the 1600 block of Orinda Court.

A prowler was snooping in someone's backyard in the 2800 block of Wasatch Court at 8:47 p.m. May 3.

A home was burglarized in the afternoon of May 2 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue.

Grand theft occurred between April 15 and 22 in the 3300 block of Holly Grove Street. The crime was recently reported.

A home was burglarized on April 27 in the 2600 block of Conejo Canyon Court.

A thief siphoned fuel from someone else's vehicle on April 30 or May 1 in the 400 block of Rosario Drive.

Graffiti was spray painted inside and outside a restroom and on play equipment at Estella Park on May 5 or 6.

Someone entered a home unlawfully on May 4 in the 2000 block of Calle Camelia.

Property was stolen from two people's lockers on May 4 in the 2400 block of Willow Lane.

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public: A male, 23, at 3:37 a.m. May 3 in the 500 block of Laurie Lane; a male, 24, at 10:49 p.m. May 3 in the 300 block of Rolling Oaks Drive (subject was said to be hiding in the bushes, slurring words, repeating himself, stumbling while walking and unable to follow simple instructions); and a male, 63, at 10:30 p.m. May 4 in the 1300 block of Janss Road.

A male, 48, was cited for drinking a 16-ounce Bud Light beer at 4 p.m. April 26 in the 1400 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A male, 44, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, attempting to commit vandalism and attempting to commit battery on a police officer at 2:34 p.m. May 3 in the first block of Meagan Place.

A male, 26, was arrested on suspicion of stealing someone's identity, petty theft, burglary and conspiring to commit a crime with two or more people at the Ventura Main Jailon May 5 for a crime committed April 7 in the 2500 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Westlake/T.O.

A male, 24, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in the Bank of America parking lot off of Westlake Boulevard at 2:30 a.m. May 4. The subject was allegedly driving southbound in the northbound lanes of Westlake Boulevard.

A male, 24, reportedly punched someone in the face repeatedly, causing the victim to get 12 stitches for several lacerations, at 1:53 a.m. May 4 in the 900 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.

While driving from a DUI class, a male, 60, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 5:04 p.m. May 7 at the intersection of Kanan Road and Upper Ranch Road.

A male, 26, was arrested on charges of burglary and driving a stolen vehicle at 10 a.m. May 5 in Ventura for a crime committed July 6 in the 2500 block of Northshore Lane.

A vehicle was scratched with an unknown object on May 5 in the 2800 block of Instone Court.
