8 years old, and already worried

I am writing this because I am seeing lots of waste in the world. At a campout for Girl Scouts I went to the lake nearby, and I saw a dead crawdad, dead fish, soda cans in the river, people catching fish, dead fish on a rope, bottle caps, trash in the river and polluted banks. I felt mad and sad to see that.

On April 22 I did a no-waste day, but it didn't work out so good. I want to tell people not to waste anymore because it is bad for the Earth and causes global warming. I don't like it and people need to stop! Kate, 8, Thousand Oaks
