Coaches now allowed to work with high school athletes on a year-round basis
CIF-SS votes to eradicate 'Association Rule'
      For the first time in 32 years the CIF-Southern Section will eliminate outofseason restrictions on coaches working with their student-athletes. In a 41-37 vote of the CIF-SS Council, Rule 313 of the CIF-SS Constitution and ByLaws, otherwise known as the Bluebook, will be eliminated from the bylaws beginning July 1.

Before teams compete in their respective league and CIF championships in the upcoming weeks, the best of the Marmonte, TriValley and Pacific View leagues competed for bragging rights at the Ventura County Track and Field Championships.

      The Marmonte League boys' tennis tournament is taking place today and Friday at Arroyo Vista Recreation Center in Moorpark. Top singles and doubles play ers from all eight of the league's schools will participate. The action is scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m. on both days, said Moorpark head coach Michael Spoehr.
