Tour de Cure Bike Ride a fundraiser for diabetes

Riders may sign up to participate in the Tour de Cure Bike Ride, a fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association, scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Sun., May 18 at Thousand Oaks Community Park next to the Thousand Oaks High School, 2323 N. Moorpark Road.
Riders will choose from one of three different courses. The 62mile Ventura County Adventure will bike through Simi Valley, Newbury Park and Westlake Village. The 30-mile East County Tour is over rolling hills to Simi Valley and back to Thousand Oaks.
The 5-mile Family Fun Ride is a more moderate course.
Last year the Tour de Cure had more than 300 riders and friends, and raised $150,000 for promoting diabetes care, education and advocacy in Southern California and to funding research.
