District used logic to decide schools for closure, maybe
Two positive pieces of news related to T.O. schools are in hand.
First, that two local schools must be closed, a difficult decision but one that the local board has, by their own presentations, taken more than 10 months to research and analyze. (It's) a wellfounded decision made to benefit everyone.
Secondly, that one of the schools to be closed, Meadows Elementary, has obtained, for the third time, a designation of distinguished school. Well done to the board or- - -
Um, is this an oops; an embarrassing development.
Or was this award known to the board and part of its post closing student and teacher dispersal plan? By spreading the students and teachers to three or more schools, the board knows it won't dilute the success of Meadows, but will, in fact, assure the greater success of all three feeder schools.
What vision.
Oh, by the way, anyone know what other area schools were recognized? Next year, those should be closed too, thus ensuring combined budgetary prudence, with ever increasing, concentrated, academic excellence.
