Golf tournament open to church teams
      Living Oaks Community Church and EV Free Church, both of Newbury Park, are cosponsoring a Conejo Valley Church Golf Tournament on Sat., April 27 with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. at Los Robles Greens Golf Course, 299 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

      The local unit of Church Women United will host a salad luncheon and service at 10:30 a.m. Fri., May 2 at the United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks, 1000 Janss Road. The theme of this year's May Friendship Day is "God's wisdom inspires hospitality," based on Matthew 25:35,40.
