Renovations underway at city hall

The replacement of a rusty support beam and new paint on bare concrete- these are two of the renovations at city hall being paid for by taxpayers. The Civic Arts Plaza is currently being rehabilitated with a $5million budget for improvements. So far, $3 million has been spent. More...

Bad behavior forces shelter program into early closure

The winter shelter for the homeless had to close early this year because of the behavior of some of those seeking its comforts and others outside, shelter director Diana Ortuno said. The doors shut on March 31 this year instead of April 15, the expected date. More...
