Home sales remain sluggish in March
March sales of Conejo Valley single-family homes totaled 65. This compares to 65 sold in February and 106 a year ago, according to Patti Hepple, president of the Conejo Valley Association of Realtors.
Median sales price for single-family homes in March was $668,270; in 2007 it was $814,285. The median price is the point where half of the units sold for more and half for less.
Median prices for singlefamily homes in March were as follows: $487,500 for 18 three-bedroom homes and $743,420 for 47 four- or more bedroom homes.
This compares to sales in March 2007 of $625,000 for one, two-bedroom home, 664,473 for 25 three-bedroom homes and $883,333 for 80 four- or more bedroom homes.
Condominium sales totaled 26 in March compared to 25 in February and 66 for March 2007.
Total sales for all real estate transactions in March were $66.9 million. For March 2007 the total was $147.2 million.
New residential listings totaled 358 in March compared to 480 in March 2007 and 338 in February.
