Group plans walk-athon, expo for Parkinson's disease
In recognition of World Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month, the American Parkinson Disease Association will host its 22nd annual walk-athon and health expo Sun., April 27.
The main event and start/ finish line will be on the lawn of Santa Monica City Hall, and the walk-athon route goes through Palisades Park.
People and their pets are invited to join the walk, as individual walkers or as a part of corporate teams or teams formed by individuals affected by Parkinson's, to raise awareness of the need for more research into the disease.
The event will feature an expo with an array of vendors showcasing products for health and wellness.
The American Parkinson Disease Association is a notforprofit grassroots organization serving the Parkinson's community.
