YMCA hosts National Day of Prayer

The Southeast Ventura County YMCA is hosting the ninth annual National Day of Prayer on Thurs., May 1 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd.

Registration and complimentary continental breakfast will be from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. The program follows from 7 to 8:30 a.m.

The keynote speaker is Nick Vuijicic who will speak on "Life without limbs."

Other speakers include Pastor Bruce Kitabjian, Grace Bible Church; Rabbi Gershon Weissman, Temple Beth Haverim; Bishop Kevin Hamilton, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints; Jim Lee, director of spiritual life for Oaks Christian School, and Deacon Vince Tomkovicz, St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.

Commander Keith Parks of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department is the master of ceremonies. Anne Marie Boscovich will supply music.

The cost is $15 per person or $150 for a table of 10. The registration deadline is Thurs., April 24.
