Dance school wins award
      The Academy of Dance and School of Performing Arts students brought back 11 gold awards, two silver awards and green cash awards totaling $1,300 for excellence in several dance categories from the L.A.DanceForce competition held recently at the Hyatt Regency in Garden Grove.

Honor roll
      California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo announced that Eric Liebowitz, a 2007 graduate of Hillcrest Christian school in Thousand Oaks, was named to the school's dean's list for his academic achievement in the Cal Poly College of Engineering. Eric is the son of Brenda Liebowitz and the late Arnold Liebowitz of Agoura Hills.
