J.D. Power and Associates celebrates 40th anniversary

Global marketing information firm J.D. Power and Associates, a business unit of The McGrawHill Companies, is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

In 1968, J.D. "Dave" Power established J.D. Power and Associates in Westlake Village with a focus in the automotive industry.

Since then, the firm has influenced consumers and industries worldwide and had expanded to include offices in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

The firm has established a presence in several industries outside of the automotive realm including finance and insurance, health care, home building, telecommunications, travel and utilities.

J.D. Power and Associates has more than 800 employees in 14 offices around the world.
