I've read with interest the numerous arguments against June's Traffic Congestion Initiative. However, every argument is spurious. First, the initiative is obviously not really about traffic. It is the public's vehicle to halt a senseless project- - the construction of a second Home Depot in Thousand Oaks. More ... You've all heard the phrase "I'm sick and tired of it and I'm not going to take it anymore." It usually comes when you're pushed to your limits. Basically we all know our rights, but who has a chance to pursue them when we've been slaves to Big Government, Big Business and Big Money from special interests? More ... What's not to like about a Home Depot at the old Kmart site? It would create employment for many, revamp an ugly piece of property and be a most welcomed convenience to our area. I and all the people I know are for this project, and any help I can be, please count me in. More ... I'm voicing my opinion about public speakers at the City Council meetings. It's a very negative place to be, and I don't feel it's fair for council members to push us off. Money and power are the name of the game.
