Art show accepting art made by children

Casa Pacifica is taking entries for a children's art show scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Sat., May 17 at Coffee 'N Dreams in the Janss Marketplace, 215 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Contest winners will receive a gift card and plaque. All contestants receive a free kids blast from Coffee 'N Dreams.

There are categories for children under 7 and ages 8 to 13.

All entries must be in a presentable format along with a $3 entry fee, which will be donated to Casa Pacifica. Presentable formats include a cardboard mat border frame, picture frame or artwork on a sturdy canvas.

The art show will raise funds for the children who live at Casa Pacifica.

Entry deadline is May 12.
