Strawberry Fest needs volunteers

The California Strawberry Festival is looking for volunteers to provide assistance at the festival Sat., May 17 and Sun., May 18 at 3250 S. Rose Ave., Oxnard.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Applications are available at www.strawberry-fest.org. Positions include greeters, shortcake tent helpers and contest assistants.

All applicants must attend an orientation meeting at 7 p.m. Mon., May 5 in the Ventura Room at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, 8 0 0 Hobson Way.
