Querrey claims first ATP title

Photos by ADAM DAVIS Acorn Newspapers BREAKTHROUGH WIN- Sam Querrey, 20, a graduate of Thousand Oaks High, won the Tennis Channel Open last weekend in Las Vegas by defeating South Africa's Kevin Anderson (4-6, 6-3, 6-4) in the final. It was Querrey's first victory on the Association of Tennis Professionals tour. Querrey picked up $68,880 for his effort and is now ranked No. 48 in the world.
