Alzheimer's Association offers free conference for caregivers to help sustain them
The Alzheimer's Association will host a conference for Ventura County caregivers from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., March 29 at the Camarillo Community Center, 1605 Burnley St., Camarillo. There is no charge to attend.
The conference is designed to relax and re-energize caregivers as well as provide tools and knowledge to help sustain family caregivers. This year's conference will feature relaxation techniques and workshops including yoga and meditation.
The keynote speaker is Gail Rink, executive director of Hospice of Santa Barbara. Rink will speak about "Caregiving with Resiliency."
Each family caregiver will receive a self-care bag courtesy of event sponsors.
