Walking to fight hunger

IRIS SMOOT/Acorn Newspapers NICE DAY FOR A WALK- Rita Solis and Rhonda Coure of Newbury Park gleefully participate in the 30th annual Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty- CROP Walk. The event began and ended at California Lutheran University. Sunday's four- and six-mile walks benefited Church World Service, an international relief organization, and local charities, such as Manna Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services.
