Apply now for arts marketing workshop
Reservations are due from both visual and performing artists for the "Arts Marketing for the 21st Century" workshop from 6 to 9 p.m. Wed., April 16 at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.
The program is sponsored by the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley.
Nationally known facilitator Sylvia White will lead the workshop.
An artist herself, White founded Contemporary Artists' Services in 1979, one of the few consulting firms specializing in career development of artists, according to coordinator Georgeanne Lees of Newbury Park, cultural affairs supervisor for the city of Ventura.
White's topics will cover how to utilize the Internet and other new technologies, as well as other ways to increase an artist's visibility.
The cost is $20 for council members, $25 for nonmembers and $5 for students. The fee includes handouts and refreshments.
