Local actor to sign books

Thousand Oaks native Markus Flanagan will discuss and sign his new book "One Less Bitter Actor: The Actor's Survival Guide" at 7 p.m. Mon., March 10 at Barnes & Noble in Thousand Oaks.

Flanagan studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. Right after acting school he starred in "Biloxi Blues" with Matthew Broderick, and his first TV pilot audition placed him in a series with George Clooney. During his 20 year career as an actor Flanagan has appeared in dozens of TV shows.

His book is a resource for young actors and hopefuls, and also provides stories of what goes on behind the camera in Hollywood.
