T.O. man arrested in wake of knifing incident

After a fight broke out at 7:05 p.m. Fri., Feb. 23 between two groups of patrons at a restaurant in Moorpark, a Thousand Oaks man allegedly stabbed another male with a small foldingtype knife, according to authorities.

The altercation followed a verbal argument between two groups of customers at Chuy's Mesquite Broiler, 13816 Princeton Ave., in Moorpark. Manuel Magdaleno, 26, of Moorpark and a friend of Jonathon Linder, 21, of Thousand Oaks then began throwing punches, police said.

During the fight, Linder allegedly stabbed Magdaleno in the back with a knife.

Magdaleno was taken to Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, where he was treated for a 3inch laceration in the center of his back.

Linder voluntarily turned himself in at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, and he's being held on $500,000 bail on a charge of attempted murder.
