Why close a school with good grades?

I'm sending this as a concerned resident and parent of Newbury Park.

My neigborhood school, Maple, was ranked No. 1 for school closure, the only one in Newbury Park.

Conejo Valley Unified School District has always been a desirable district to be a part of; however, the decision for school closure is not acceptable. The "blind process" the board members used to rate the schools is flawed and needs to be redone.

API scores weren't part of any criteria.We moved here because of the test scores Maple students produced year after year--that says something great about the effort the staff and kids make.
