Reagan Library has birthday party

To honor President Ronald Reagan on the anniversary of his birthday, a ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Wed., Feb. 6 at President Reagan's Memorial Site at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive in Simi Valley.

The ceremony will include a 21-gun salute and a placing of a wreath from the White House on President Reagan's grave site.

Lt. Col. Steve Chealander, former military aide under President Reagan, will speak at the ceremony.

Birthday cake will be served in the library's main lobby all day following the ceremony.

All birthday-related events are free to attend. Regular museum admission applies to visit the museum exhibits. General admission is $12, $9 for seniors ages 62 and over, and $3 for children ages 11 to 17. All active military will be admitted for free on Feb. 6.
