GEORGE HUTCHISON Special to the Acorn OUTSTANDING COUPLE- Mike Mathews and his wife, Jean Duffy, will be King and Queen of the Mardi Gras Ball, a fundraiser for Community Conscience/Under One Roof. Many local charities and public service organizations are housed at 80. E. Hillcrest Drive. By not having to pay rent, funds aren't wasted on overhead. Mardi Gras is the biggest fundraiser for Community Conscience. Tickets for the Sat., Feb. 23 event are $150 per person or a table of 10 is $1,250. Guests may wear costumes or black tie is optional.
