7 Scouts win service awards

HARD WORKERS REAP AWARDS- Seven Girl Scouts from Troop No. 585 in T.O. won President's Volunteer Service Awards for work they accomplished over the past year. Gold winners donated 100 or more hours, silver 75 and bronze 50 hours. Scouts receiving honors include, from left, Annie Chen, silver; Alexi Ozder, gold; Sami Staskus, bronze; Rachel Cherniack, gold; Katelyn Reeves, gold; and Kristen Yip, silver. Alexa Johnson, not pictured, received a bronze award. They helped the Junior Blind, their churches and the Pet Orphanage, among other causes.
