McClintock ignores local constituents

The city of Thousand Oaks has done a great job of planning and responding to the needs of its citizens. The open space around T.O. has contributed to this great living model at substantial acquisition expense.

Now state Sen. Tom McClintock, who prefers to live in Sacramento, having moved from T.O., would have us using the open space for high-density housing, in defeat of its original purpose. He's threatening to use the state's power through the mandated Regional Housing Need Assessment (RHNA) to put 1,900 high-density housing units on our open space.

At this point I believe that the almost 100,000 voters in Thousand Oaks must start by remembering his name-- McClintock--during the next election, and support our City Council. Fred Hughes Thousand Oaks

Due to term limits, McClintock won't be seeking reelection in either the state Senate or Assembly.
