Teachers can learn about autism in course offered by Easter Seals

Easter Seals Tri-Counties will host Autism Spectrum Disorder training for six weeks beginning Wed., Jan. 23.

The first four classes will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. at Easter Seals offices on 10730 Henderson Road in Ventura.

The final two sessions require site visits to the Easter Seals Toddler Learning Center groups during the day.

A stipend is provided to cover expenses for substitute teachers.

The training will cover how to include children with autism into preschool programs.

This program is designed to assist child-care providers and early education teachers in integrating children with an autism diagnosis into their classrooms.

Call Kate Heller at (805) 6471141, ext. 22, for an application and further information.
