      Superintendent retires After nearly 30 years serving the Conejo Valley Unified School District, Deputy Superintendent Richard Simpson retired in July. Jeff Baarstad, assistant superintendent of business services, was promoted to deputy superintendent.

Horizon Hills offers new class for preschoolers
      Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning and the Conejo Valley Unified School District will offer a new inclusion preschool class beginning in January on the Horizon Hills campus in Thousand Oaks. Applications are being accepted for enrollment.
