Likes to hear about schools' accomplishments

Thank you to Ken Winters for his Nov. 22 letter reiterating how principals should set good examples in activities on campus.

Allowing students to duct tape him to a pole is just not an appropriate children's "reward" activity.

It's great how Principal Rickert is involved with the students in motivating them; however, there are so many other postive ways to reward them. It was heartwarming to also read what parent Wendy William did in organizing Weathersfield Elementary School students to turn in all their excess Halloween candy to a local dentist's office. They earned raffle tickets for the candy turned in.
