Genealogists invite guests to potluck

Conejo Valley Genealogical Society members will host a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Tues., Dec. 18 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road.

The evening will also feature a silent auction and family history sharing as well as installation of 2008 officers.

Guests should bring a potluck item to serve eight plus serving utensils. The club will provide beverages and paper goods.

Contribution of items for the silent auction are welcome.

Those attending are invited to share their favorite family tradition, an artifact, a short family history or research story.

Queries will be posted on the society's surname wall and then will be printed in a future issue of their publication, Rabbit Tracks. Query forms will be available, and guests are encouraged to bring a name, date and location for each query.
