Women's club meets for lunch, music

The Thousand Oaks Woman's Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wed., Dec. 12 at the Palm Garden Hotel, 498 Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park.

The luncheon menu will be chicken Florentine, mixed green salad with choice of dressings, wild rice pilaf, seasonal vegetables, New York-style cheesecake, coffee and tea. A vegetarian menu of pasta primavera is also available upon request. The cost of the luncheon is $23.50.

Nancy Osborne will present songs she made popular while singing with Nelson Riddle and Tex Beneke.

Plans for the club's annual philanthropic event, "Heavenly Fashions," scheduled for March 2008, are well underway.
